Carolina Ballet present their marvellously magical production of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream to close their Shakespeare Festival in style.. Enter a beguiling realm as a plethora of fairy folk spin across the stage, setting the scene for this beloved tale comedy of warring hearts and mischievous spells, where mortals meet those of the dream world, creating a night that those caught in the crossfire will never forget!
First conceived as a ballet set to Felix Mendelssohn's score for Shakespeare's play in 1962, A Midsummer Night's Dream is the perfect subject matter. Richly decorated costumes against the mysterious forest set create a symbiotic background for the story. Carolina Ballet's production is no different, offering a show that won't fail to delight audiences of all ages!
