With its impressive Greek revival architecture, the Raleigh Memorial Auditorium is one of the area's most iconic structures. In 2001, a number of new theaters and concert halls were built and, together with the auditorium, formed the Duke Energy Performing Arts Center. This complex hosts a variety of events all year round and is home to the Carolina Ballet and North Carolina Symphony.
