Taking on the classic slow tempo Spanish Bolero, Carolina Ballet prepare to debut the well-known ballet style in the middle of their 2017 - 2018 season. Set to French composer Maurice Ravel's composition, the piece is choreographed by Lynne Taylor - Corbett who has been nominated for Tony Awards the piece is set to be one of the most thrilling dances of the season.
Carolina Ballet began in 1997, under artistic director/CEO Robert Weiss and to date have staged over 100 world premiere ballets, and toured internationally. The company, initiated in 1928 have put on versions of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, The Little Mermaid and The Nutcracker earning them recognition for their broad creativity and vibrant performances.
