Gargantuan sounds from Metal band Gojira
A band that takes their name from the Japanese word for Godzilla is taking on the heavy responsibility of delivering a sound so gargantuan that it makes skyscrapers wobble... Luckily, in the case of French metal quartet Gojira, the band more than delivers on this promise with a heady blend of progressive, thrash, death and groove metal. With rumours of a hotly anticipated follow-up to 2016's colossal breakthrough album Magma, the hard rocking outfit hit US shores on tour in 2019!
Formed in their small home town of Ondres in the South of France, brothers Joe and Mario Duplantier, Christian Andreu, and Alexandre Cornillon rose to international attention when they released their third album From Mars To Sirius in 2005. Honing their metal chops for over 20 decade, the band's live shows are infinitely satisfying, sweaty affairs featuring seizure-inducing light shows, ear drum-bursting drums and many chances to mosh with the best of them.
