Things have only been on the up for California-born rapper Vince Staples since the release of his debut album Summertime ’06 in 2015. Fresh from The Vince Staples Show and a run of acclaimed records including Ramona Park Broke My Heart and Dark Times, Staples returns with his new album Cry Baby and a full-scale 2026 tour.
The Long Beach artist travels across North America for a 16-date run, hitting major cities including Atlanta, Austin, Brooklyn, Toronto, Chicago, and San Francisco. The tour supports his latest album Cry Baby, which marks a shift toward a more outward-facing sound while retaining his signature storytelling edge.
Known for his genre-blurring approach to West Coast hip-hop. Staple's early rise came through collaborations with members of Odd Future, appearing on projects such as Earl Sweatshirt’s Earl (2010) and Doris (2013), as well as releases with Mike G. and The Jet Age of Tomorrow. He later signed with Blacksmith Records and released the Stolen Youth mixtape with Mac Miller.
Staples’ debut studio album Summertime ’06 established him as a major voice in contemporary hip-hop, featuring standout single “Norf Norf” and a stark, cinematic portrayal of life in Long Beach. He followed this with a series of stylistically distinct projects, each expanding his sound from minimal West Coast rap into electronic, avant-garde, and conceptual territory. He continues to tour and release new music.
Beyond music, Staples has developed a parallel career in film and television. He has appeared in projects including Dope (2015) and American Dad! (2018), Lazor Wulf (2019–2021), Abbott Elementary (2022–2023), and many more!
