
Carolina Ballet - Jewels dates for your diary
Carolina Ballet breaks new ground in November, marking the first time ever that the company has performed George Balanchine's Jewels in full, with the music performed live, no less! Originally created by Balanchine in 1967 for the New York City Ballet, Jewels comprises three parts, Emeralds, Rubies, and Diamonds, with each act being set to music from different composers; Emeralds to Gabriel Faure, Rubies to Igor Stravinsky, and Diamonds to Tchaikovsky.
